He obtained a BS in Animal Science from Oklahoma State University and owned a ranch is North West Oklahoma before returning home to ranch in Kansas. He and his wife Debbie are owners of B bar B Ranch, located along the Cimarron river in South West, KS, located in a mid-grass prairie. The ranch is a cow-calf operation with calves retained and finished all natural and sold for a premium. Grazing management and soil health are the focus, with conservation at heart of ranch goals. Water development, adapted genetics and adapted grazing management to create healthy grass & soil are some of our accomplishments.

Bill is also involved in his community civic organizations and church, has served on State Cattlemen’s Board of Director, County Cattlemen’s Chairman, Kansas Livestock & NCBA member, Local Prescribed Burn Association Chairman, past KGLC Chairman, and current church board member. He has also presented at last 4 NGLCs.

He is currently in a transition and have leased ranch to younger couple and stepped out of day to day operations.

They still own most of the cattle, but are selling a percentage of cattle yearly to the couple leasing the ranch and will continue to be involved in land management and conservation on the ranch.
