Bio

Debbie Webster began assisting horse lovers in the Greenville area in 1980, first through J&J Stables and then at Whispering Pines Stables in Mauldin, SC. Debbie has over 30 years experience in teaching at riding academies in the Midwest and locally. In 1980, she became a member of the United Professional Horseman Association, and in 1983 earned her license to be a Horse Show judge recognized by the American Horse Show Association. Debbie has trained students and horses competing in World Class Competition!

Debbie Webster began expanding the farm over 20 years ago when she bought a few sheep and goats for a yearly live Nativity and Whispering Pines Stables became Whispering Pines Farm. In 2019, the farm relocated to Seneca, SC with more room to grow on 180 acres.

The sheep and goats multiplied over time into producers of milk and of awarding winning cheeses. Whispering Pines became the first licensed Sheep milk dairy in South Carolina. Debbie’s cheese business has grown tremendously each year. She has a meat handlers license and sells pastured lamb. She started the first 4H Dairy sheep club in the US, her Agri-Tourism program served over 1,000 families during a single summer.

Debbie conducts classes for small ruminant care, cheese making and uses her sheep for therapy for children with Special Needs. She’s passionate about helping people start farms. She founded the Whispering Pines Foundation, a Non-Profit, dedicated to getting children and youth outdoors and involved in dairy sheep and farming.
