Natalie Allio

Natalie lives in central Colorado near Salida on a small cattle ranch that raises Highland cattle for direct market beef.   Her formal education includes a BS in Leadership and Management and an MA in Ecopsychology with additional certifications in Collaborative Programs in Natural Resources, Coaching for Personal and Professional Mastery, and Whole Farm and Ranch Planning.  Her experience working on ranches in NM, WY and CO has taught her the value of deep connection with the land and the knowledge that comes with that connection.  The focus of Natalie’s work in central Colorado has been “keeping working lands working” through innovative and collaborative programs during a time of increased pressure from residential and municipal development, the resulting fragmentation of grazing lands and a changing climate.  Drawing on her own experience in agriculture and her education in Ecopsychology and Collaborative Solutions in Natural Resources, Natalie manages programs and collaborative networks that support water quality, water quantity and soil health in her home community in the Upper Arkansas Watershed and beyond.  In her role with NatGLC she serves as the Manager for the Western Grazing Network working to empower livestock producers and their trusted partners to collectively develop and implement climate-smart livestock projects across the West.
