Alex DiMaggio

DIRECTOR OF ARIZONA & TEXAS GRAZING LANDS NETWORK

Alex grew up in South Texas, spending much of her time outdoors tending to cattle with her dad, or fishing at her grandmother’s pond. Those early experiences shaped her love for the land and the people who depend on it.

She attended Texas A&M University, earning her B.S. in Rangeland Ecology and Management, and went on to Texas A&M University-Kingsville for a M.S. degree in Range and Wildlife Management. Alex has served in federal, state, and non-profit roles focused on grazing lands conservation, conservation planning, and program development. Working alongside landowners, agencies, and partner organizations has strengthened her commitment to practical, collaborative strategies that support both healthy rangelands and the long-term sustainability of ranching operations. Her expertise centers on strengthening working lands while honoring the values and livelihoods of rural communities.

Alex resides in Far West Texas with her fiancé, where she enjoys hiking around the Big Bend, tending to houseplants, and fishing whenever she has the chance to be near the water.
