The National Grazing Lands Coalition (NatGLC) and Florida NRCS, in partnership with local conservation districts and producer groups, are launching a yearlong outreach effort to better understand and support Florida’s ranchers and farmers.

This is 1 of 8 listening sessions across the state to:

  • Hear directly from producers

  • Share conservation programs and practices

  • Build partnerships for healthier lands and herds

These sessions are focused on producers of cattle, goats, sheep, and more, and will cover topics like financial and technical assistance, grazing best practices, and strategies to improve water quality, soil health, and profitability.

His research focuses on utilizing genetic and management tools to enhance animal fitness, parasite resistance, and overall productivity in small ruminants, especially in the Southeastern U.S.

Executive Director, Wyoming Wool Growers Association
 Alison is a seasoned small ruminant specialist and industry advocate with a strong background in sheep and goat nutrition, reproduction, and wool quality. Before joining the Wyoming Wool Growers Association, she served as an assistant professor and extension specialist at Kansas State University. Her leadership continues to elevate Wyoming’s sheep industry, now in its 120th year of advocacy and innovation.

We are honored to welcome Dr. Marco Palma, Interim Associate Director for Responsive Agriculture at the Texas A&M Institute for Advancing Health through Agriculture, and Dr. Tryon Wickersham, Presidential Professor for Teaching Excellence & Associate Head for Research in the Department of Animal Science to the National Grazing Lands Coalition – Graze on Over webinar. Drs. Palma and Wickersham are on the forefront of connecting the value of agriculture to improved human health.
