North Jersey RC&D’s upcoming Pasture Partners: Working with Dung Beetles field day on Thursday, October 1st, from 2:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Duke Farms in Hillsborough, NJ. Participants will have the opportunity to observe and trap active dung beetles in the field, learn about the species found throughout our region, explore current research on the interactions among grazing management, parasite control, and dung beetle populations, and discover how farmers can even establish their own dung beetle hatcheries through USDA SARE-funded research.
